Last year my husband and I decided to build our dream house for our retirement years. We wanted a home that was ADA compliant and that also met our unique wish list, such as fitting a grand piano into the downsized space we desired. Our real estate agent suggested H-E Homes. We met with Andrew and were impressed with his attention to detail and the passion he possessed about helping us design our home. Once the actual building phase began, we met Scott and Aaron and were impressed with their expertise. As building progressed, the quality of the construction was evident. The subcontractors H-E Homes worked with were considerate of our future neighbors. In fact, many neighbors complimented them throughout the building process. H-E Homes uses a project management tool that kept us informed throughout the entire process. Very important as we lived out of state. We could access a calendar that specified jobs and completion dates, make selections, see photos, and communicate. On a weekly basis we had a telephone update with Andrew, as well as a weekly email. Should questions or concerns arise in between, Andrew and Scott responded in a timely and gracious manner. As guaranteed, our house was completed within six months of breaking ground! There are so many more positive things I could say about H-E Homes. Suffice it to say that we unreservedly recommend H-E Homes for your custom built home. We loved working with H.E. Homes! Throughout our entire build process, from design concept to execution, we were kept updated on our home's progress. We appreciated being able to choose virtually every aspect of our house. We chose one of the pre-designed floorplans, but the ability to add walls, remove walls, change locations of rooms etc... truly made the house feel like it wasn't going to be one of 45 that look exactly the same. Knowing we could also start from scratch was wonderful, as well! After closing, we did have a few items that still needed to be finished and Andrew and his team made sure each of those things were done in a timely manner. Since then, nearly a year out, we've had the H.E Homes crew come back and handle a cabinet project for us (which they definitely didn't have to do & we're so happy they did!) and repair a few minor things around our house. The team came to help without question. We recommend H.E. Homes to everyone we know, and we couldn't be more pleased with the choice we made!

When we first contemplated building a home, we talked to a handful of builders. What initially made H-E stand out from the others was the process they had in place from start to finish. From the initial meeting, through the design phase, and for each phase of the build - we knew exactly what to expect, could track progress through their portal, and knew they could deliver what we wanted in a reasonable amount of time. Pricing was transparent and we knew exactly what we would get for that price. When we finally decided we were ready to build, we immediately called H-E Homes. Andrew was great throughout the design process and not only took into consideration our wants and needs but made some very helpful suggestions. As the build started, we were able to use their portal for our selections, see what work was planned each day/week/month, and monitor the % complete. The portal was also a great communication tool between us and the builder and provided a great source of reference throughout the process. H-E Homes also set up weekly calls so we could discuss any issues and ask questions. Andrew was incredibly prompt with responses and transparent with any change costs, which made the process smooth, quick, and clear. HE-Homes was very accommodating throughout the process. As older homeowners, we had some specific selections we wanted, and they went above and beyond to accommodate what we wanted - whether it was a design or finish change. We never felt that we were "boxed in" on any design or finish. While this alone sets H-E apart from other builders, I think it's the fact that they truly wanted us to be happy that sets them apart. If work was completed and not to our standard, H-E would look at the concern and make sure it was resolved to our satisfaction. I am not always the easiest customer, so this speaks volumes. We have been in our home for over a month, and we are extremely happy and grateful to H-E Homes for the time they spent working with us, listening to our concerns, and helping get us into the home we wanted to build. Andrew, Scott, Aaron, and Hunter - We are so appreciative of your time and the effort you put into our home. We cannot thank you enough.

My experience with Andrew from HE Homes was absolutely wonderful. It is very difficult to find good customer service, but they shatter all expectations. Short response times on emails, no hidden information, and will work with you to get exactly what you want. Every single aspect of our home was customizable and Andrew made sure to present us options and examples of what others have done to give inspiration for our design. He wanted to know what was truly important to us in order to ensure our home highlighted that feature in a way that would special to us. While we did not end up building with them, through no fault of theirs, the experience with HE Homes is completely different than another builder or development and I cannot recommend them enough.

My husband and I are so grateful to have found and worked with HE Homes. We are, admittedly, novices when it comes to things like this, but Andrew, Scott, and Aaron were great guides through the home-building process. We chose to go with HE Homes for our move to Indianapolis and started the process shortly before the COVID crisis really kicked off. Andrew, Scott, Aaron and the rest of the team did exceptional work through the uncertainties of COVID keeping us appraised of new developments as they occurred, navigating a multitude of stock and supply crises as the worldwide manufacturing systems slowed or stopped, and keeping everything on-time through it all. Some of the strangest things became impossible to find or heavily delayed - when our vanities went out of production, Andrew called every vendor in North America looking for backstock, spare parts in our finishes to swap out parts with, or any other way to scrounge up the needed sets in our desired finish. Only when that came up dry did we have to re-choose another available finish, and he still managed to find an exceptional piece from a third party to set the master bathroom apart from the rest with a gorgeous no-longer-produced finish that matched even better than our original desires would have. We'd previously dealt with decidedly less-attentive and quality builders before and had a lot of concerns and no doubt an overwhelming amount of questions and desire for details on the details to be answered, but the HE team kept us up to date and answered them with patience and expertise. They advised us on smart choices to make and alternate ideas, shared unusual ideas for us to consider based upon our discussions and desires, and delivered a smorgasbord of custom one-off work like it was any other Tuesday. I couldn't imagine another builder that could have done better, and Andrew, Scott, and Aaron deserve all the praise I can heap upon them for pulling everything together cleanly through COVID and the myriad of uncertainty and issues it's caused - thank you again!

We partnered with Andrew, Scott, and Aaron of HE Homes and started digging in December 2018 to build our first home in downtown Indianapolis, and we've been in the home for about a year. We're thrilled with the process and results we got! The process was extremely smooth and transparent. You're in-the-know about all of your selections, and how the project is progressing at all times. Andrew and Scott are both extremely attentive, knowledgeable, and collaborative when it comes to building and really help throughout the whole process. The end product of the home was exactly how we had planned it with Andrew - he really helped our vision come to life. The materials, finishes, and mechanical aspects of the home are of very high quality. Not only this, but our project finished 3-weeks ahead of their 6 month guarantee!! HE Homes has a comprehensive warranty program that includes full home walk-troughs at 90 days and 1 year after taking keys. This includes all sorts of fixes (if needed, they were all very minor) including paint/dry wall touch-ups, etc. The HE homes team continues to be of help well after taking possession of the home. I'd recommend HE Homes to anyone interested in building a house!

Just wow! Not sure where to begin. In summary, our experience with he homes was impeccable from start to finish. Building a home will never be without its unique set of challenges. However, you'd be hard pressed to find another builder better equipped to solve problems and communicate as well as this construction team. Our home turned out better than we had imagined. After 6 mos of construction, preceded by 12 mos of planning, our preplanned closing date fell one day after the executive stay-at-home order! he executed our socially distanced closing to perfection. The details of our custom HE Home came together beautifully, and we are in awe of the space created for our family. Building a custom home is not an easy task, but Andrew & Scott make it easier and basically 'hold your hands' during the entire process until you get handed your keys to your perfect home. Andrew was great to work with as my husband and I considered our options for building a home in downtown Indianapolis. He was extremely thorough and made the time to help us understand the HE Homes process and concept. We really liked everything we learned about the company!

From the minute we saw the Progression Home plan in 2015, we knew that this was the house for us. We really wanted a design that was as open as possible, but the “sun room” bump out, where we built a bar, provided for the extra variety in the layout. Other elements of the design, like the 9 foot ceilings and an abundance of windows make the open space feel even bigger. This was especially important to us, as we had just recently downsized from our 6,000 square foot home. I can't explain how fortunate we were to have met Andrew, and subsequently Scott. The level of help they gave us is simply unheard of today. All of the ideas I had along the way, they figured out how to incorporate - thus turning my home truly into my dream home.
